We've been exploring Nowe Miasto Lubawskie for less than a year, and with it, the flavors of the city. La Fragrante is one of those places we became friends with during our last visit. This small pizzeria, slightly set back from one of the city's main thoroughfares – Jagielońska Street – delights and surprises with its simple concept of running a culinary business. The size of the premises automatically forces customers to choose between eating outside, which, as we know, will always depend on the weather, or ordering takeout. Due to the favorable weather, we decided to use the available outdoor tables. And before we could enjoy the last rays of the passing summer sun, our rather large order arrived. I consider the speed of order fulfillment, not only for us but especially for customers who ordered takeout during our stay, crucial in this type of culinary business, because everyone waiting didn't waste more time than they would have wasted on, for example, a quick purchase in the store – a key advantage. The pizzeria itself offers a dozen or so dishes and flavors, mostly familiar to pizza lovers. For those who find Italian cuisine a mystery, the creative, descriptive signs outside the restaurant explain everything. The pizzas served have light, crispy crusts with perfectly flavored toppings. A few rather surprising flavors, such as pizza no. 16 with mortadella, the mozzarella is sprinkled with lemon zest, and the special gorgonzola and arugula pizza is accompanied by roasted beetroot and a raspberry vinaigrette, drizzled over the pizza by the Italian chef. It was a truly delicious experience, and we'll gladly return to it again when we visit NML again, because now we know that the meandering Drwęca River, which flows through the area, holds more than just delicious secrets.

Let me put it this way... The roofing felt is ripped off... This is the best pizzeria in the area, and it probably will remain that way for a long time. I highly recommend checking it out for everyone; it's completely different from our Polish pizzerias. Good restaurants like this deserve to be visited and supported. The service is friendly, and you can chat, not just about the pizza itself. The atmosphere is great, and there's easy access from the main street, so you can eat right there. I highly recommend it. Najlepsza rzymska pizza poza Włochami... Pozdrowienia spod Koblencji dla najmilszego angielskojęzycznego Południowego Tyrolczyka na Mazurach. Tysiączne dzięki za tę cudowną pizzę, która na chwilę przeniosła nas oboje do pizzowego nieba. Składniki pizzy były „fantastico”, a rzymskie ciasto, będące równorzędną alternatywą dla stylu neapolitańskiego, było wyjątkowym doświadczeniem, które na zawsze wryje się w nasze pizzowe wspomnienia. Ta pizza z pewnością należy do pięciu najlepszych pizz, jakie jadłem w życiu – a było ich wiele. Do tego dochodzi niesamowicie przyjazna natura gospodarza i jego żony, a także zadbany wystrój małej jadalni oraz miejsca do siedzenia na zewnątrz.

Fresh from Italy, this pizza brought back memories. Wonderful, delicious, and light. Fresh ingredients, a dolce vita vibe, and delicious tiramisu. Now my favorite place in Poland 🇮🇹❤️
