This isn't the same old "Jewish" anymore. I ordered two hot dogs with mushrooms and received two cut buns with a small amount of onion and mushrooms (visible only when the cut is opened). The fries were incredibly greasy; one part was fresh out of the fryer and warm, the rest were sent cold from the container... I don't recommend it.
You come here for the nostalgia. The zapiekanka was recommended as a local dish, but it didn't impress. There was a small line even in the morning, which means it's quick, quite tasty, and you can grab a bite to eat when most places don't open until 12:00. Another plus is that you can grab a zapiekanka to go and go to the lake, sit on a bench, and eat with a view of the fountain.
What I got instead of a large portion of fries was a disaster, leftovers, discards, because I don't know what to call it. I went to this place because I was passing through Ilawa and I remember that they used to have some of the best fries in the city, and I went there with such hope... when I saw the order, I squinted, saying it wasn't the same place anymore. The waitress commented with a smile that everything was changing for the worse. I don't recommend it.
I just ordered a casserole with salad without sauces on July 23, 2018. The lady gave me the sauces after reporting that I ordered without sauces. The lady gave me a "new" version and the new version consisted of removing the salad and giving me a new one where the rest was covered in sauce. I received terrible service and I have been a customer for years, every few days.
