I was tempted by the good menu today. The price was 30 złoty for a pork chop, which was dry when I got home and looked like it had been sitting there all morning. The potatoes were the same. They used to be good food, but now they're a disaster. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I'm attaching photos.
Service was pleasant. Pricey (set of two dishes + soup: 38 PLN), compote: 5 PLN. The taste was so-so. The pancakes weren't freshly fried, but pre-made and served cold. The food was greasy. The soup was served in a crappy plastic bowl. More marketing than quality. Nothing to rave about. I don't recommend it.
Tasty, homey, clean, and tidy. The entire space is nicely arranged, with lots of flowers. A beautiful garden outside—peas are blooming, and there are even tomatoes. But back to the point. Dinner was tasty, the potatoes were delicious, the salad was okay, but the fish cutlet was too salty for me. It's a matter of taste. I can recommend this place because you can't find many bars serving homemade food in Giżycko... except for the immortal Omega. So... I highly recommend it 💗
Traditional cuisine with potential – but this time with some hiccups. The pyzy looked appetizing, but the filling had a rather odd taste – the meat was unusual and difficult to identify, which slightly spoiled the overall experience. On the plus side: the dough had a good consistency and the tasty onion and bacon topping was delicious. The pork chop was classic, crispy, and well-seasoned. The potatoes with dill – simple, but delicious. Unfortunately, everything arrived cold, which significantly affected the overall experience. Overall, it was tasty, but somewhat disappointing – warmed up and with better meat in the pyzy, it would have been perfect.
The portions are exceptionally small. I received less than two potatoes on my plate. The photo makes them look huge. However, this is very misleading. The food is low quality. The bigos made with young cabbage (May 2025 -29 PLN) is disgusting. The sausage in the bigos tasted and smelled like the cheapest supermarket variety. The meat was the same. Half the potatoes were undercooked. This is probably the first time I've encountered this in a dining hall, with almost raw potatoes served in some places. The pea soup was also inedible. Too much marjoram, very runny, and the potatoes in the soup were too finely chopped (but at least cooked). The decor is okay, and the service is polite. The toilet is a plus, although the lock doesn't close properly and the bathroom needs urgent renovation. The cleanliness of the place and bathroom is also a major drawback. For 39 PLN (main course plus soup), it's definitely not worth it. Anyway, it's not worth it for any money 🤮
